One of my goals, when I started working on the stake truck, was to have it on the road and reliable enough to take it to Pete & Jakes, May 12, 2012, for their open house. I think that it was back in February, I had made a work trip up to St Joe, MO, and had stopped in at Pete & Jakes to say hey to Jason. While there, I was telling him about selling my ’37 and that I had a trip scheduled to pick up the ’40 truck. He grabbed a flier and told me about the open house.
For those of you who have visited this site, you have seen the progress of hauling the truck down this way and the updates on progress made. Well…I’m happy to say, “Mission Accomplished!”
I’ve been really bad about not taking many pictures at hot rod events. I’ve decided I’m not a photographer, and not much of a writer, either! Here’s a few of the cars that caught my eye.
