One of my favorite events of the year, the Frog Follies, has come and gone. I had intended to update, daily, during the event, but got a bit lazy. The event was a blast, hanging out with Dad, and riding shotgun.
Dad told me that I was crazy for driving the ’40 Stake to his house, and not driving my van up there, but I decided that since it was an old car event, one needs to make the ENTIRE trip in an old car!
Thanks to Dick and Barb Carroll, for running with us, from St Charles, MO to Evansville and back. It’s always fun. Also, it was good to hang out with fellow CrossMemberCC, Clay Vance. Fun to finally meet Ron Ritchey.
Here’s my pictures. My attention is typically drawn to fat fendered Fords, ’32 sedans and ’33/’34 Fords of all body styles. If you expected differently, you must be new around here!
Also, I forgot to snap a shot of his ’36, but I have pic’s of it from a local event…Congrats to Mike Meeker, for being selected for a prize on his first trip to the Frog Follies. Although he didn’t accept, which would have caused him to get home WAY late on Sunday, he said that he was quite honored to have been noticed.
For me, it’s not about the “show”, but about the getting there and the adventure along the way!
The FUN is in the RUN!!!
Heading out from New Melle, MO. Different view from this side of the car!
